It’s that time of the year, the leaves have fallen, the branches are piled and we would like to remind you to please not only obtain a burn permit, but to follow regulations for an open burn.  If your fire gets too hard to handle or out of your control, PLEASE call 9-1-1 and the Lincoln County Communications dispatcher will get the fire department to you quickly.  We want you to be safe…not sorry.

With many of us cranking up the furnace, wood stove and/or fire places don’t forget to check your flue, and Smoke/CO detector regularly.  Replace the old batteries with fresh ones. If you are unsure of the last time your chimney has been cleaned or inspected, don’t hesitate to get it done now before it gets colder. Check your local phonebook for a chimney sweep to reduce your risk of a chimney fire.

The Dresden Fire Department and Fire Association would like to thank everyone who participates in the National Fire Prevention week and comes out to support the  fire department!
